Acceder a registro de Windows desde Java

Es posible acceder desde java al Registro de Windows haciendo algunas trampas. Para empezar hay que tener instaladas "Herramientas de soporte de Windows 2000" , estas vienen en el CD de instalación de Windows 2000, con estas herramientas se instala un comando llamado "reg.exe" ; sirve para gestionar el Registro de Windows en modo Linea de Comandos.

Modificación y configuración del Registro desde línea de comandos

Aqui muestro la ayuda de comando reg.exe

Y a continuación, un ejemplo de uso desde java. Clase que lee las claves del Registro Nombre CPU y Velocidad CPU. Es importante advertir que si las claves del registro contienen espacios en blanco en el nombre, es necesario entre comillarlas, así "\"clave con espacios\""
